I hope you see this “project” as a “Nip.” The Smithsonian has long advocated that Trap Neuter Return, or TNR, is not efficient in controlling outside feral as well as stray feline populations. Their setting is catch as well as eradicate (kill). I concern about exactly how this data will be utilized to support this position. Spaying as well as neutering is of genuine value to cats as well as caretakers alike. catch as well as kill is not the response to feline overpopulation issues.

I heard about this on NPR’s market of all places. I believe it’s about time somebody started truly counting the cats available instead of fabricating inflated numbers as well as taking action half-truths. Those of us who TNR really do understand exactly how lots of cats are available in lots of locations since we are the ones assessing situations, planning trapping as well as arranging center appointments, then keeping up with caretakers. The genuine requirement is to discover the irresponsible people who continue repopulating the outside feline population.

just one more government sneaky step to invade our lives!!! now they want to census cats, so they can configuration methods to kill them without people increasing an outcry!!! where’s the “census” for dogs? they will capture/poison/kill all feral cats or cats discovered roaming or homeless. BEWARE, this is not for the great of the kitties!!!!! as well as I dont believe that its authorized by the animal welfare orgs either. a lot of people dont like cats, as well as this is just a “legal” method to dispose of them…..finding homes, yes right. sorry, anything such as this the govt is included in or a few of these orgs, I dont trust.
